Mobility grants for students
The Norteas network applies for student mobility funding through the Nordplus Higher Education programme. Students who wish to apply for mobility grants should contact the international coordinator of their home institution for further advice and guidance.
The grants are available to degree students of any nationality studying at the bachelor or the master level in one of the NorTeas member institutions, planning to spend a period abroad at another NorTeas member institution. PhD students are not eligible for a Nordplus student mobility grants.
Nordplus supports the following types of mobility for students:
Express mobility / short term studies
Express mobility: 1 - 3 weeks (under 1 month), minimum duration: 5 days
Short term mobility: 1-2 months
Express mobility is intended to broaden the perspectives of students through short term study exchanges. This mobility scheme is also intended to encourage and to facilitate institutions to invite students from partner institutions to take part in their ordinary courses and thus promote internationalisation at home.
WORK Placement / TRAINING ABROAD
Duration: 1-7 weeks
Students can seek support for training abroad in their specific field of study, where they receive supervision at the place of the training, and recognition of study in their home school upon return (ects). The training can take place for instance at a theatre, with a director, at a festival, with an organisation, in a cultural school for children etc. The training must be organised in collaboration with home school.
Approval and recognition:
Students who intend to make work placement abroad should fill out both the application form and a training agreement in collaboration with home school and receiving institution/partner. The training agreement has to be signed by student, home school and receiving institution (contact person at the place of training).
Long term mobility
Studies or training abroad lasting longer than 2 months.
The Norteas network recommends that Erasmus+ funding is used when possible in case of studies abroad exceeding 3 months.
